<p>Meet Filipino nurse, IIen Mae Ecot. <h2>Hi Ilen. Thanks for taking the time to speak with us. Please introduce yourself to our readers. </h2>
<p>Hi, my name is Ilen Mae Ecot. I am a 27-year-old healthcare worker from the Philippines. In 2022, I moved to Dublin and started work as an Advanced Community Nurse. In the Philippines, I worked as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse in a hospital for 5 years.</p>
<h2>Can you tell us about your role as an Advanced Community Nurse?</h2>
<p>I provide home care and support for people with injuries, illness, or disabilities and those who require the intervention of medical technology to survive.</p>
<h2>Why did you decide to take your career overseas?</h2>
<p>What made me want to move overseas is to have a better quality of life. Also, <strong>living abroad gives you better career and personal growth opportunities.</strong></p>
<h2>How did you find out about the nursing job in Ireland?</h2>
<p>I saw an advertisement on the <strong>TrueProfile.io website</strong>. They were sourcing NICU and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nurses in Ireland, so I took advantage of that. <strong>I submitted all my requirements online and had my documents verified.</strong></p>

<h2>How was the job application process?</h2>
<p>It was a quick and fast application process, to be honest. </p>

I then flew to Ireland after a month. I took the test when I arrived here, and luckily I passed and was able to start my job at Resilience Healthcare in Dublin.</p>

<h2>What are your career aspirations?</h2>
<p>My plans for my career are to settle here in Ireland and to be a Nurse Manager someday. I plan to attend seminars, programs, and classes to be a better nurse someday and to be more competent in delivering my care and services to my patients.</p>

<p>I highly recommend nurses <strong>gain experience overseas for professional growth</strong> and also explore their careers.</p>
