<p>You’ve <a href="https://www.trueprofile.io/member/resources/prepare-certification-exams" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">immersed yourself in the English language</a> for the past few months and aced your <a href="https://www.occupationalenglishtest.org/preparation-portal/free-sample-tests/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">mock exams</a>. You’re now ready to <a href="https://www.occupationalenglishtest.org/book-oet/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">book your Occupational English Test</a> (OET). The first thing you need to do is to check whether OET test venues are open in your country. <a href="https://www.occupationalenglishtest.org/book-oet/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Enter your country location</a> and the OET website will give you test venue options, depending on your location. Booking your test date and venue is subject to availability. </p>
<h2>Before Booking</h2>
<p>Before booking OET, ensure that you have the following:</p>
<ul><li>A digital photo</li><li>Passport or government-issued ID/National ID</li><li>Credit card for payment</li><li>Laptop or desktop computer if booking OET@Home</li></ul>

<p> Your digital photo needs to meet the following criteria:</p>
<ul><li>Passport size</li><li>In jpg or png format</li><li>Minimum of 200KB, maximum of 2MB in size</li><li>Colored with white background</li><li>Taken within the last 3 months</li><li>The photo should show a neutral expression with the mouth closed</li><li>Your face should show the bottom of the chin to the top of the forehead and with the edges of the face visible if you are wearing head coverings.</li></ul>

<h2>Book OET@Home</h2>

<p>If your country does not have test venue locations, you can book an OET examination from the comfort of your home. You need to use a <a href="https://www.prometric.com/sites/default/files/2020-04/PrometricProUserGuide_3.1_1.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">desktop computer</a> or a laptop to book the exams. The prerequisite computer specifications to take the OET@Home are the following:</p>
<ul><li>Operating System: Windows 8.1 or higher/Mac OS 10.13 or higher</li><li>Working speakers and microphones (headphones with mic allowed)</li><li>Browser: Google Chrome</li><li>Internet Connection Speed of 0.5 MBPS or higher</li><li>Recommended <a href="https://support.occupationalenglishtest.org/hc/en-gb/articles/4403212599823-What-system-requirements-do-I-need-for-OET-Home-" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">resolution</a> of 1920 x 1080, with <a href="https://ehelp.prometric.com/proproctor/s/article/PPL-TECH013-PDF-Docking-For-Case-Exhibit-Based-Exams?language=en_US" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">screen scaling set to 100%</a> for text to display correctly.</li><li><a href="https://www.prometric.com/proproctor" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ProProctor</a> installed</li><li><a href="https://zoom.us/download" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Zoom</a> app installed</li></ul>

<p>Once you’re ready to book, go to <a href="https://booking.oet-global.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://booking.oet-global.com/</a> and create an account. Choose the OET test that you want to book and fill in all the needed information. Upload your ID/passport and pay the fees. </p>
<h2>Book OET on Paper</h2>
<p>If your country has available test venues for OET, choose the best test dates and locations for you. Booking is subject to availability and you can check by choosing the test locations once you have indicated your country on the landing page. Your country <em>may</em> have more than one test venue and a test venue <em>might</em> have only one option available (test on paper or test on computer). </p>
<p>Once you have selected the best options for you, you can book OET on paper by doing the following:</p>
<ol><li>Go to <a href="https://www.occupationalenglishtest.org/book-oet/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://www.occupationalenglishtest.org/book-oet/</a> and choose your country</li><li>Choose your test location and preferred test media and click ‘Book’</li><li>Create your OET account </li><li>Click ‘Apply for the test’ tab</li><li>Review your preferred profession, test date and time</li><li>Check out and pay</li></ol>

<h2>Book OET on Computer at a Venue</h2>
<p>Not all test venues offer OET on a computer. Once you have chosen your country from the dropdown at the <a href="https://www.occupationalenglishtest.org/book-oet/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OET booking page</a>, your test venue locations will show which test media they offer. Once you’ve chosen your most convenient location and test date, you can now proceed with booking. To book OET on computer at a venue, you need to do the following:</p>
<ol><li>Choose your test location and preferred test media and click ‘Book’</li><li>Create your OET account </li><li>Click ‘Book Now’ or ‘Book Your Test’</li><li>Review your preferred profession, test date and time</li><li>Check out and pay</li></ol>

<p>For all test media, you will have 15 minutes to pay after making your booking before it expires. For OET on paper and on a computer at a venue, the ID you uploaded when booking should be the ID that you bring on the test date.</p>
