<p>To celebrate UAE’s 51st National Day, we spoke to 4 of our Members about how moving to the UAE helped them progress their healthcare careers, connect with new cultures and enjoy expatriate life. </p>
<p>Moussa Hariri, Dr. Manish, Dr. Tooba, and Nina Lopez give us insight into their experience moving to the UAE, which they are proud to call home. </p>

<p>I’m Moussa Hariri and I am originally from Syria. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Anaesthesia from Gulf Medical University and I’m currently working as an Anaesthesia technician in Al Sharq Healthcare, Fujairah.</p>
<h3>2. Why did you choose this career path?</h3>
<p>I knew I wanted to do something in healthcare to give back to society and to help people. It has been a very challenging but rewarding career. It’s not easy because we have long shifts, sometimes extending up to 16 hours and staying on call the whole day. But it has it’s perks. The salary is good and it has helped me to provide my family with a secure future. </p>
<h3>3. Why did you choose to bring your healthcare career to UAE?</h3>
<p>The best thing about being in the UAE is the stability this country offers. I feel safe living here with my family. We’re getting a decent and healthy lifestyle. It’s great! </p>

<h2>Indian Specialist Nephrologist, Dr. Manish Tripathi – International Modern Hospital, Dubai</h2>

<h3>1. Dr. Tripathi, what does UAE mean to you?</h3>
<p>UAE has provided a great platform for my growth, not only professionally but also personally. My wife shifted here with me and is now working as a pathologist in a government hospital. She gave her licensing exam and got her MOH license. My kids are studying in one of the leading schools in Dubai. So, overall, I would say that the last 10 years have been very smooth and comfortable fro me and my family. </p>
<h3>2. Why did you choose to bring your healthcare career to UAE?</h3>
<p>Moving to the UAE was my first international move. I never planned to move abroad but I gpt a great offer while I was in India. I also got offers from other Gulf countries – but I had heard great things about UAE, so I decided to take the plunge. The first offer I got was from Thumbay Hospital, which is a teaching hospital. So, I thought it’s good to be a part of an institute that is attached to a medical university. Moving here has really helped me in terms of my academic and professional growth. </p>

<h3>1. Hi Nina 👋What prompted you to move to the UAE?</h3>
<p>I moved to the UAE when I was 23 and full of ambition. I had heard that UAE has great opportunities for healthcare professionals, so I decided to come here and visit clinics and drop my CV as a walk-in candidate. Fast forward 10 years and I am living the life of my dreams. </p>
<h3>2. How has the atmosphere in UAE helped you grow professionally?</h3>
<p>I worked in my home country, the Philippines, before coming to the UAE. But I feel if you stay back home, you don’t get the opportunity to interact with people of diverse backgrounds. One of the best parts of moving to the UAE is that I get to interact with people of different beliefs and cultures. Whether it is patients or colleagues – I always get to learn something from each one of them.</p>
<h3>3. Would you recommend a healthcare career in UAE? Why?</h3>
<p>I always encourage all my friends and family members back home to come and build their lives here. Firstly, we are blessed to get a tax-free salary, and secondly, it’s so exciting to be a part of the most advanced and innovative countries in the world. </p>
<h3>4. How has your experience with TrueProfile.io been?</h3>

<h3>1. Hi Dr. Rizwi 👋 What prompted you to move to the UAE?</h3>
<p>I chose to move to the UAE because I feel that it was a cultural fit for myself and my kids. I am happy to live in a Muslim country. </p>
<h3>2. Would you recommend a healthcare career in UAE? Why?</h3>
<p>I would definitely encourage everyone to apply for jobs in UAE. We get so many benefits here. UAE offers a safe environment. Being a doctor, I often have to do night shifts, and I have always felt very secure, no matter what time of the day it is. </p>
<p>Secondly, the salaries being offered to healthcare workers here are almost 8-10 times more than what we earn back home. </p>
<h3>3. What does UAE mean to you?</h3>
<p>I must say that after God, I am thankful to UAE for my progress. Around 2 years ago, I got my Golden Visa from the government. I have also sponsored my family. My kids are studying and growing up in a safe environment. </p>
<p>I would say, UAE is the greatest place to live life; invite your families and enjoy quality time with them. </p>
